Courses and certifications are approved and issued by Transport Malta.
This course aims to give students the essential knowledge and training to be eligible to undergo examinations leading to a certificate of competency (CoC) as Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OOW), limited to yachts less than 3000 GT (STCW Regulation 11/1).
*Hybrid training ( 4 Weeks Online + 4 Weeks in Class)
To be eligible for the OOW 3000 GT License you will need to have, or obtain the following ancillary certificates:
-STCW Basic Safety Training
-Advanced Fire Fighting
-Medical First Aid
-Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (other than Fast Rescue Boats)
-RADAR/ ARPA Operational Level
-Leadership and Teamwork (HELM Operational Level)
-GMDSS (GOC) General Operator's Certificate.
Please note that if you hold any of these certificates previously, they still need to be valid and approved by the licensing authority.
They are not required to attend the OOW 3000 GT course they are requested for the licensing process If you do not have them, you can obtain those certificates with us.
