ELECTRONIC CHART DISPLAY AND INFORMATION SYSTEM

Five-day course aims to train bridge watchkeeping officers and other interested personnel in the safe and efficient use of ECDIS.

Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) are now fitted as standard equipment in most large yachts, the course is recommended to all Yacht Masters and Officers. With the use of the electronic chart system, it has become easier for a ship's navigating crew to pinpoint locations, and attaining directions is easier than before. During the training, they will acquire the knowledge of an Electronic Chart Display and Information System in terms of cartography, sensory, regulation, route planning, route monitoring, and chart management.
