SMALL POWERBOAT & RIB MASTER MCA RECOGNISED

The Small Powerboat & RIB Master Course is a three-day MCA-recognised theory and practical training programme designed for individuals who want to develop professional boat-handling skills and operate small powerboats and rigid inflatable boats (RIBs).

The course meets the requirements of the Small Commercial Vessel Code and supports the issue of an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) based on Resolution 40 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Inland Transport Committee.

Combining classroom instruction with practical training, this course provides students with the essential knowledge and skills required for the safe operation, handling, and maintenance of small vessels.

Course Limitations

This qualification covers:

Vessels up to 15 metres 

Coastal operation within sight of land 

Outboard or inboard engine vessels 

Fair weather conditions 

No horsepower limitations 

Assessment

Students will complete:

1 Written Examination 

1 Practical Assessment

Validity Period: 5 Years
